Spears unfit to testify in court

Oops…he did it again.

Britney Spears' former manager/sidekick Osama "Sam" Lutfi has filed an amended lawsuit against the pop princess, toning down the rhetoric from his original complaint but still making the same basic accusations, chief among them that mother Lynne Spears slandered him, father Jamie Spears assaulted him and that the "Toxic" singer still owes him money for services rendered.

Acting on behalf of his daughter's conservatorship, Jamie Spears obtained a temporary restraining order against Lutfi back in January to keep him out of her life.

On Feb. 3, Lutfi fired back with a lawsuit that included salacious allegations about her parents leeching off Britney.

That led to Team Spears to file a petition asking the court to toss out the first seven pages of Lutfi's complaint, claiming the blistering charges were really a "calculated attempt to exploit the court system" to make public assertions that have "no factual or legal moorings."

Among the finer details in dispute: "Every aspect of [Britney's] life and more importantly, her fortune, has been controlled by her parents" and that the parents were losing control of their daughter, which "posed a serious threat to Jamie and Lynne" and their supposedly lavish lifestyles.

Such language was excised from the updated filing last Thursday, according to Lutfi lawyer Bryan Freedman, to "clarify" his client's accusations against the popster.

"We think the amended complaint sets forth our claim in a more clear fashion," Freedman tells E! News. "There were certain allegations that we wanted to clean up. "We felt [the language] provided some real background but we removed it...as far as the legal claims we're seeking, it was irrelevant."

Jamie Spears' attorney, Joel Boxer, could not be reached for comment.

While all this plays out, a judge could decide as soon as tomorrow to make permanent the restraining order against Lutfi and attorney John Eardley—a ruling which Freedman said he will appeal should they come out on the wrong side.

Freedman also expressed a desire to bring Spears in from her Circus tour to explain why, if Lutfi was such a nuisance, she didn't file her own restraining order against Lutfi before her father took control of her affairs.

"I think if she testified we'd at least understand the truth whether she suffered substantial emotional distress from Sam or whether she was reaching out and Sam helped her," the attorney added.

The Spears estate recently obtained a permanent restraining order against Britney former paparazzo paramour Adnan Ghalib, which will remain in place for three years.

If she is so unfit to testify, then why the hell can she tour around America and part of Europe???

Sweet Dreams HD

SO breatheheavy was reporting that this interlude was orginally suppose to be "my prerogative" but Britney refused to say "I don't need permission, make my own decisions." I could beleive it but she says, "This mama is in control" at the show and I don't think that is much different.

Show reviews(P.S. sorry for the brief haitusP)

Review: Spears puts on solid show in Sacramento
It wasn't the train wreck that some had predicted. And it wasn't the victory march that others had longed to see.

In the end, Britney Spears' concert at Arco Arena in Sacramento on Saturday night — her first of three Northern California dates this month — fell somewhere between the two extremes.

On the Brit-Brit scale, "The Circus Starring Britney Spears 2009 Tour" was better than the star's last major trek, 2004's "The Onyx Hotel," but below her best tours, including 2000's "Oops . . . I Did It Again" and 2002's "Dream Within a Dream" — the latter being one of the best pure pop spectacles that this critic has ever seen.

Given everything Spears has been through in the last five years, a period of time that saw her become the ultimate tabloid queen, this uneven, though enjoyable outing was still more than what should have been reasonably expected.

The capacity crowd of 18,000 fans that turned out in Sacramento to see the 27-year-old star was rewarded with a flashy, big-budget spectacle that nearly matched the hefty ticket prices, which topped out at $750.

The theme was the "Circus," the title of Spears' most-recent album, and the action took place at the center of the arena, in an "in-the-round" setting. There was one large stage that connected to two smaller ones, creating a true "three-ring" affair. A band of musicians was hidden from plain sight in a pit that surrounded the three stages, thus assuring that

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
at least some of the music we'd hear on this night would be live.

After an opening set by the Pussycat Dolls, which did absolutely nothing to change the perception that these ladies are little more than the poor man's Spice Girls, Spears kicked off her 80-minute set in dramatic fashion as the curtain rose on center stage and she appeared dressed as a ringmaster. She jumped right into the new album's terrific title track, and then followed up with the hit single from 2007's "Blackout," "Piece of Me," which is by far the best tune Spears has ever recorded.

It was hard not to be swept up in the sheer star power of the moment. Even after the many all-too-human moments we've seen from Spears over the last five years — the breakdowns, the childhood custody battle, the botched appearance on the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards — she still is able to make a crowd gasp simply by appearing onstage, as if 18,000 fans are saying in unison, "OMG! It's Britney!" None of her contemporaries, women like Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera and Beyoncé, can produce quite the same effect.

Spears can no longer be considered among the elite dancers in show business, so the decision-makers (i.e., her father and tour director Jamie King, who has worked with Madonna in the past) seem to know this and have constructed a show that cleverly sidesteps the need for Britney to do much hoofing around.

A crowd, for the most part, just wants there to be plenty of movement onstage, and King fulfills that wish in many cases by simply having other "Circus" cast members wheeling Britney around on cool contraptions. During "Piece of Me," for example, Britney rode atop a lion's cage, doing basic "Vogue"-style hand gestures and some basic body writhing, while being pushed around the stage by guys dressed like they were on their way to the next bondage ball.

It's worth noting that, while there were some risque outfits, this is not a sexed-up show in the fashion of "Onyx Hotel," which featured a "bathing" sequence that fans still mention. This time around, this former Mouseketeer, who is now a mother of two, is putting on a fairly family-friendly affair, although one that isn't trying to compete for the "Hannah Montana" crowd.

For the first part of the concert, the "Circus" motif was particularly well-handled. The cast included plenty of clowns and weirdos, guys playing with fire, curious characters performing slight-of-hand trickery and even one bodybuilder — in other words, it closely resembled what's regularly seen right down the street at the State Capital.

At one point, a magician even made Spears disappear, a feat that her detractors have been unable to accomplish thus far. Yet, that wasn't the most startling disappearing act of the night. For some unknown reason — perhaps, King ran out of ideas? — the "Circus" motif suddenly vanished toward the end of the show and Spears was left to rummage through Madonna's closet during the last numbers.

She did save some of her best songs for last, including "Toxic" and ". . . Baby One More Time." The encore should have marked a return to the "Circus" theme as Spears belted out the obvious closer, "Womanizer," but instead fans received an utterly too-cliché sexy cop routine.

Again, given just how far Britney had fallen, this comeback show represented a pretty impressive outing. Yet, Spears will have up to up her game for the next tour — especially if she wants to sell those $750 tickets.

Concert review | Britney Spears has it together for Tacoma Dome show
Pop superstar Britney Spears brought her "Circus" act to the Tacoma Dome Thursday night, for a well-choreographed, if soulless, concert that fans loved.

Concert Review |

Britney Spears was all spectacle Thursday night at the Tacoma Dome.

It was an extravagant big-top show with clowns on stilts and bicycles, martial artists flipping swords and tightrope dancers bouncing high into the air. A magician even made the pop star appear then disappear. Spears also participated in stunts of her own, hanging from two dancers suspended to the ceiling.

These dancers — definitely the highlight of the show — surrounded Spears in a fury of movement, hyphy, krumping, salsa, popping and bellydance. Her stage was just as flowing: all sorts of props, from couches to Spears herself, were lifted in from above.

In Tacoma Spears was more animated than she's been described in earlier reviews of the "Circus" tour. Sure, her dance moves essentially consisted of strutting and gyrating, and it was pretty obvious she was lip-syncing — but at least she looked happy. There were also no random outbursts — no sudden stop in the show as she had earlier this week in Vancouver; no screaming out "Merry Christmas" as she did at a show in March. She didn't talk much period. The most she said was "Hello, Tacoma," then, toward the end, she smiled and said, "We'll do-si-do. Yee-haw," before exiting the stage.

So while it was hard to tell if she was truly enjoying her performance, the fans sure did. The Tacoma Dome was close to sold out, almost entirely with women. Many came dressed as some Britney incarnation — from her "Baby One More Time" schoolgirl days to her "Circus" ringleader ones. And Spears' songs reflected this mixed discography, with performances of hits "Circus," "Womanizer," "... Baby One More Time" and "Everytime."

But watching her show, you couldn't help but see how much her tour's circus theme reflected Spears' own life — with Britney lost in the spotlight and her surroundings orchestrated for her.

Britney Spears Walks Off Stage During Concert

The show didn't go on in Vancouver Wednesday night after Britney Spears pulled the plug on her sold-out Circus concert 15 minutes and three songs into her performance – departing the stage and leaving the audience in the GM Place in the dark for more than half an hour. Boos ensued.

Cigarette smoke from the crowd was blamed, with a female voice announcing to the crowd, "The building is awfully smoky. It is uncomfortable for everyone on stage, including Ms. Spears. Please extinguish all cigarettes – this is a non-smoking building, and the show will resume when the smoke on the stage is cleared," the Vancouver Sun reports.

Until the agitated crowd settled down, GM Place was filled with piped-in intermission music played at hockey games – which, one concertgoer told PEOPLE, left the fans "really pissed off. The break in the concert ruined it for everyone. The vibe was gone."

When she did return, Spears, 27, delivered a well-received Bollywood take on "Me Against the Music," followed by "Everytime" – during which she asked the crowd "What's up, Vancouver?" before she again left the stage, some 90 seconds before the end of the song.

The concert concluded with Spears singing "Womanizer" and advising the still-restless crowd, "Vancouver, don't smoke weed."

After the show, Spears's publicist, Holly Shakoor, issued a statement of explanation, the Associated Press reports. Her statement said "crew members above the stage became ill due to a ventilation issue."

Spears kicked off her Circus tour of the North America and England in New Orleans on March 3. Her father and attorneys are exploring the possibility of expanding the tour, says AP.

Miley beats Britney as Teen Queen...

So according to a survey done by popeater.com, Miley cyrus beat out Britney Spears as the new Teen Queen. Britney came in at number 3. Seriously, this is just stupid because Britney's entire fan base has grown with her and most of them aren't teenagers anymore, unless they became a fan at the age of 9 or below. Anyway, Britney doesn't seem to marketing to teens anymore so why would it even matter. I love Britney and I would vote and hope she would beat out Miley, but when it comes to teenagers, Miley markets torwards them. So I guess it makes sense.

Rock out with your Cocks out!!!

Last night at Brit Brit's show in Edmonton, during the encore she told everyone to rock out with your cocks out!!! hahahha! Now only if we could get her say "My pussy is hanging out," "Merry Christmas", and "rock out with your cocks out" during every show!!!!

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Christina Lutfi: How She Smuggled Cell Phone to Britney Spears

It sounds like something out of a bizarre soap opera. A woman smuggles a cell phone into the sauna of a posh Beverly Hills hotel and gives it to a superstar singer who feels cut off to the outside world by her controlling father.

Christina Lutfi --sister of Britney Spears' former manager Sam Lutfi - says that actually happened, and in an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, Lutfi is speaking out about how she did in fact smuggle a phone to Spears in the sauna of the Peninsula Hotel last winter.

Christina says Spears had called her crying, saying she was sick of her father's control over her empire and needed Sam's help to find a new lawyer. Christina says Sam --who was forbidden to contact Spears himself - instead gave her a pre-paid cell phone to smuggle to Britney so that the pair could be in contact.

In this dramatic new interview, RadarOnline.com brings Christina back to the Peninsula Hotel to recount the events of that day.

Eminem's new video takes a stab at Britney

Eminem's new video "We made you" takes a shot at many celebrities including Britney Spears. When I first started to watch the video I thought it was going to be some unknown actress playing Britney, however, when they showed her it was none other than Derrick Barry.

I was quite surprised by this but also felt at ease. Since Derrick is such a fan of Brit Brit, it didn't feel like a someone ripped a gash in my side when anyone makes a snide remark about Britney. I can get very defensive when it comes to Brit. Anywho I thought it was an interesting video, and an all right song. Check it out for yourself at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIkzQYns61Q

Britney Considers Taking the Circus Down Under

Britney Spears' tour may be heading south. Way south.

In court today, attorneys representing the popster and father Jamie's conservatorship discussed the possibility of taking Spears' supremely successful Circus tour to Australia.

Nothing was decided at what was otherwise a largely uneventful hearing pertaining to the conservatorship, which has been in place since Feb. 1, 2008, and was extended indefinitely in December.

Another court date has been set for April 14.

The Circus Starring Britney Spears unfolds in Edmonton tonight, after which the song-and-dance extravaganza hits Vancouver before heading southward along the West Coast. As the schedule stands, Spears' troupe touches down June 3 in London, where they'll do eight shows (all sold out), and then wraps up June 17 in Manchester.

Good Luck tonight in Minneapolis Brit!!!!!!

Just wanted to wish Brit GOOD LUCK tonight!!!!! You'll have another AMAZING show!!!!!!!

PCD's Nicole would be "afriad" of a Britney dance off.

Since March, the Pussycat Dolls have been busy supporting Britney Spears on her
Circus tour. Before that, the Dolls had been traveling the world on their own tour, and the ladies wouldn't want it any other way.

"It's been nonstop," Nicole Scherzinger told MTV News. "We were on our Doll Domination Tour all throughout Europe, and now we're on Britney's tour, and after this, we're going to go back on our Doll Domination Tour."

So how do they handle the group's never-ending tour schedule? "It's the PCD gods and angels around us," Scherzinger said.

Nicole could only use one word to describe the hectic atmosphere of touring with someone like Britney: "It's really a circus. It's crazy. I think the tour's been really good for us doing what we do best: singing and dancing. A lot of people have told us the fans' ultimate wish is to have Britney Spears and PCD on tour."

The hectic schedule also means that the Dolls haven't been able to get any time to chill out with Britney. "This is her tour, and I'm sure she's busy, and I'm always doing press right before we get onstage," she said. "We haven't had too much interaction, but we're always planning stuff."

Perhaps the girls will all be able to meet up onstage at some point during the tour. "That would be super fun," she said. "We did that when we were [on tour] with Christina [Aguilera]."

Nicole also hopes that touring with a pop staple like Britney will attract a new fanbase to the Dolls. "Britney's been around so much longer and been around people who might not know us," she said.

For Brit's Circus, the girls decided to do a mini-version of their Doll Domination show. "We kept our same original look. We kept it PCD-style," she said. "We were on tour already, and we picked one outfit from the costume changes. We wanted it to be colorful and fun and sparkly and things that the kids could relate to."

If the ladies ever find time in their schedules, maybe they could squeeze in a Britney-vs.-Dolls dance-off. "I would be afraid. She can throw down. She's got some moves," Nicole said. "If we had a dance-off, maybe it would be more of a collaboration dance or maybe one of the other girls can do it; I'll just stand and watch. She's a great dancer and a great performer."

This report is from MTV News.

Good Luck in Kansas City Tonight!!!!

Just wanted to wish good luck to Britney tonight in the Kansas City show!!!! You are gunna kill it!!!!!

Courtroom battle over Britney Spears and her one-time confidant

Does Britney Spears live in fear of her former confidant, Osama “Sam” Lutfi? Or does she consider him her only hope for breaking out of a court-ordered conservatorship? Does the pop star see him as a predator, a Svengali or a savior?

There were plenty of opinions this week during a hearing on whether to impose a long-term restraining order against Lutfi and another man, but none offered by Spears herself. As has been the norm in the 15 months since her father assumed control of her affairs, the 27-year-old singer did not attend the Superior Court proceeding.

Witnesses summoned to the stand by attorneys for Spears’ father, Jamie, suggested that his daughter is rightly frightened of Lutfi, a 34-year-old who lived with her and presented himself as her manager in the period leading up to her hospitalizations for psychological issues.

Blair Berk, who formerly represented Spears and said she now acts as a personal attorney for her father, said Lutfi made threats “of an extortative nature” during a January phone call, prompting her to contact law enforcement.

She said that on many previous occasions, Spears had asked her to have Lutfi arrested “for what he had done to her.”

Another witness, a Long Beach probate attorney, said men identifying themselves as Lutfi and attorney Jon Eardley tried to get him to enter the case on Spears’ behalf in January and even provided him with a retainer agreement purportedly signed by Spears.

The lawyer, John Anderson, said that after learning Spears was barred from hiring her own counsel and speaking with lawyers for her father, he decided not to get involved.

Lutfi did not attend the hearing. His lawyer, Bryan Freedman, called his younger sister as the only defense witness.

Christina Lutfi portrayed Spears as desperate to be in touch with her brother. She said that the singer called his cellphone repeatedly in January seeking help in hiring a lawyer. She said that Spears told her she was scared of her father and wanted access to a cellphone.

Christina Lutfi said her brother got a prepaid cellphone and she agreed to pass it to Spears during a secret meeting in the sauna room of Beverly Hills’ Peninsula Hotel.

“She thanked me,” Christina Lutfi recalled.

At a February hearing, Jamie Spears testified that a security guard found the phone in Spears’ purse and turned it over to him.

Judge Aviva Bobb said she will hear closing arguments April 21 before deciding whether to make the temporary restraining orders against Eardley and Lutfi permanent.

----I'm not sure how I feel about Britney trying to contact Sam. I personally feel that Britney is in a good place in her life right now, and at the time that Sam and Britney were close, Britney was not in the best state.

New Candies Ad!!!!!

Britney's new Candies Ad has finally hit the airwaves.

The print and TV campaign will appear later this summer in fashion and lifestyle mags, just in time for back-to-school shopping. The brand will be integrated into all of Spears' upcoming promotional activities, including her Circus tour.

"The new Candie’s advertising campaign featuring Britney Spears is authentic, relevant and designed to resonate with our junior shopper," Julie Gardner, Kohl’s executive vice president and chief marketing officer, told Us Weekly.

She added: "At a time when Britney Spears is on top of her career, we believe the campaign will drive excitement for the brand, sold exclusively at Kohl’s."
